Thanks a lot

Just off the top of my head I would say you have to take in all of the major cities: Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dumfries, Dundee, Glasgow, Inverness and Stirling. I suppose it depends on how much time you have to spend and what time of year you’ll be visiting, but I would also plan to visit at least one of the national parks.
Have fun, I’m pretty jealous.

Oh, and don’t forget the Loch Ness Monster, lol. That would be top of my list. But seriously, someone told me that they camped beside Loch Ness once and it was absolutely magical. I wonder if you can still do that. Although the idea of camping in Scotland sets my teeth chattering!

Hello Driveby,
It does all depend on what time of year you are going, here are a few ideas for some of this year events/festivals all around Scotland:
Beltane Fire Festival - An audience of around 15,000 people comes to share the two-hour procession and wild after-events. April 30th.
Isle of Bute Jazz Festival - The beautiful island of Bute welcomes you once again to enjoy one of Europe's most popular jazz weekends - April 29th - 1st May.
Imaginate Festival - Each year the Festival presents around 100 performances of productions from the UK and abroad in theatres and arts centres in Edinburgh. - May 9th - May 15th
Here is a page to find out all of the dates for the Highland Games in 2011 http://www.visitscotland.com/guide/see- ... -games2011
There is so much to see in scotland such as events, festivals, comedy nights, beautiful wildlife, amazing attractions and activities, fun for all the family, and some of the greatest golf courses known.
To make the most out of your trip its always best to make a rough itinerary of the things you know you would like to see and places you would like to go. This way you wont miss out on anything
try searching on google to find great upcoming events! http://www.visitscotland.com/guide/see-and-do/events/ is a great site!
I hope this helps.
