Things to do in Amsterdam.
Hi everyone,
Just a quick post to ask if any of you have ever been to Amsterdam? and if so...what are the best things to see there? I have heard its a brilliant city and can't wait to see it for myself. I just want to make sure I make the most of my trip.
If anyone has any information to share that would be great!
Thanks.

Re: Things to do in Amsterdam.
Hi there Infoneeded,
Thank you for your post, I can answer this personally as I went to Amsterdam last year with my partner around this time of year. It was indeed brilliant. We went for a long weekend, 3 days in total (I wanted to stay longer as soon as I arrived!) There's so much to see there, we went to Madame Tussauds to see the famous wax models, well worth a visit, plus you get to see a great birds eye view of Dam Square from the top floor.
Amsterdam isn't just about the cannabis and the Red Light District. It is such a beautiful city, with gorgeous canals and bridges, the buildings are all very tall and gracious. The city has a really good vibe.
Here are only a few of the good things to check out while you are there:
Van Gogh Museum,
Ann Franks House
Artis Royal Zoo (I went here and it was great!)
Red Light District
Always check on google before going to popular tourist destinations to do a bit of research on what to do on your visit, this will ensure you don't miss out on any of the good stuff, make sure you check out the festival dates too
I hope this helps.
Lottie.
